Elira Mavraj is a native of Wappinger's Falls, NY, and is currently teaching K-5 general music and 4/5 choir at the Cohoes City School District. Her ultimate goal as an educator is to inspire students to see the potential they have in themselves while developing a long-lasting love and appreciation for music. Elira has been known to create positive and enriching learning environments for her students during her time as a middle school band and general music teacher at Broadalbin-Peth Central School District, as a private lesson teacher through the NY School of Music in Walden, NY, and as music theory and aural skills tutor through the SUNY Potsdam Student Success Center. ​
